The WMG SME team is offering 12 West Midlands based SMEs the opportunity to benefit from a two day funded social media training programme over a three month period to help their business grow and develop. The programme will specifically look at LinkedIn  and Twitter along with management tools.

The business assist programme will kick start with a one day hands on social media workshop on 12th June, where attendees will work through building and developing social media accounts and managing them effectively within their business. Attendees will then have the opportunity to work with the WMG SME team on a further tailored piece of work to embed social media activity in the business. After successfully “graduating” from the programme, businesses will be able to join a WMG led social media support group, where they can learn about new social media services, best practice in the industry and discuss social media related issues on a quarterly basis.

To be eligible for this funded support, organisations must:

·         Have at least 20 employees or have the capacity to create a job for someone to implement social media activity in the business;

·         Have little or no experience of social media activity;

·         Have the capacity to set up social media activity and monitoring systems in the business;

·         Commit to at least two days of focused work, an initial one day workshop, followed by a 0.5 day advanced session based on a project for your business, a 2 hour webinar, and a 3 hour project presentation/ discussion.
